Final Blocks Finished!

This little sweet pea joined our family in November and I promptly exchanged quilting time for loving on her.  (Could you resist that smile?)

A big thanks to Carla and Megan for their understanding and patience as it took me a while to get these blocks out!

Here's Megan's cake block sent out a while ago...

And Carla's two bird blocks going out today...

Loved finding fun color details in these bird blocks, like the little red flower above the blue bird that allowed me to put a pop of red in the block and the black and white tree branches giving me an excuse to add my city outline fabric.  Guess, like me, the green bird is a big city gal!

These blocks were all so fun.  No, the entire year was fun!  Thanks for letting me sew with you all and best wishes for the new year.

Cake Pops

I decided to make cake pops for Megan’s quilt.  Because sewing them seemed easier than actually making them, haha!

This is going to be a delicious quilt!

Megan's October BLOCK

Hi Ladies!
My name is Megan and this is my month for the block of the month. Everything is in the mail with pictures and fabric. I want/need 6.5" wonky birthday cakes. Practice your free piecing! Absolutely anything works! Thanks for all the help!

Modern Meadow Rings in a Block

.
The Modern Meadow patterns are so beautiful!  I enjoyed coordinating the fabrics for the rings and was sorry when room ran out and I had to stop.  Liz, if I didn't have three more 2010 blocks to go, I would definitely have put another one together.  The package will be on the way to you Monday.  I know this finished quilt will be fantastic. -- michele

Playing catch-up...

Hanging my head in shame as the bee leader, having to admit I got two months behind. My apologies to Liz and Angela... these blocks may be in your mailboxes today already:
2 Thangles Shoo-Fly blocks for Angela

A Joel Dewberry Modern Meadow block for Liz

I really loved these blocks, so hard to part with after I made them. Can't wait to see your quilts ladies!

Now, for our followers out there, might you be interested in joining us n 2011? We are going to have 3-5 openings in this Bee starting in January 2011. If you want to be a part of One Block Over 2011, email me at schmitz(dot)doris(at)yahoo(dot)com.

1 1/2 blocks

I'm loving the Modern Meadow, and the blocks were so fun to make.

But this one is only 12" square.  Sorry Liz!  I replay the horror on my own blog.
