Amy’s Japanese + and X block. The verdict? This was super easy to make – Amy, I wish you would have sent fabric for 2 blocks, this was so quick to whip up that I feel guilty for not doing more!
The hubby goes “Is that newspaper fabric??” He was definitely intrigued – I think it may be time for some of my Authentic word fabric to make an appearance in our house, lol!
Also, Victoria is putting together a fun signature quilt, so I sewed this up pretty quickly for her, opting for the brighter end of her blue/navy/pink/red/tan color request:
She has more deets on her blog, see the link above if you want to stash bust and contribute to a fun quilt!
I'm hoping t6o get Amy's block made tonight, this is great! Also love the signature block!
ReplyDeleteOh, yea! Love the block, Michelle! For some reason, I had a hard time finding and cutting the 3 1/2" squares for the corners or I might have had you make two blocks. :-) I want the corners to be fairly bold graphically and I had a hard time coming up with a variety of those (ahem, without some serious stash unearthing....). LOVE IT! Yea! Thank yoU!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Michele! It's so cute!!!! Thank you!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteDid Amy send fabrics out? I haven't gotten anything yet....
Yep, Victoria, I sent out fabrics on about May 1.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me how one pattern of block and look so many different ways by changing fabric, colors, values, etc. All the blocks look cool...all in their own way! =)
